It has been an exciting and emotional weekend in our home. We celebrated Corey's retirement from the Air Force after 24 years. Although we have looked forward to this day, there was some sadness that we did not expect. How do you just stop doing what you have done for 24 years? The uniform that was worn every day now hangs in the closet. The boots sit on the floor. There is no doubt, we are exactly where God would have us. We are thrilled to see what the Lord has in store for us next. We cherish all the memories and the adventures that the Air Force has taken us on and we look forward to the new ones we will be creating.
So to start us off in this new season of our lives, we packed up the 6 kids and the Outback and headed west. We have been anticipating this this trip for a while now. There has been much planning and discussion on where we would be going. We left Atlanta and headed west through Alabama and Mississippi on our way to Memphis, TN. The Air Force has taken us to so many places. We have met many friends along the way. Tonight we get to visit one of those sweet families.
We hope that you will join us in this big adventure of ours. Please share some not to miss stops along our path. Life is an adventure. Don't miss it.
