There is so many miles to cover before we actually get to the BIG stuff. I am the one who wants to do something in every single state! For the sake of time, we pressed on through Alabama and Mississippi and we arrived at our first stop in Memphis. We met the Brian and Rebecca Ross in 2002 while living in Hendersonville Tennessee. We had a wonderful Sunday School Class that we all just loved. Brian and Rebecca just had their first child, Garrett, and we were having our 5th! Today we were able to have our families together and all 11 of our children! It was such a fun night. We ate some Memphis BBQ, Curlys, and enjoyed some delicious banana pudding. The kids became fast friends. They swam, played some corn hole, and Joel did some of his amazing magic tricks!
We could not leave Memphis without a stop somewhere. I really wanted a good view of the Mississippi so we chose to go to the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid. Inside stands the tallest free standing elevator in the United States. It was a fund ride to the top! The pyramid is the 6th largest in the world. The view was definitely worth the stop.
It was a long day on the road. We pushed on through Arkansas until we arrived in Oklahoma City for the night.
I forgot to mention one important thing! IT IS COREYS BIRTHDAY! Even though its a couple days late go ahead and wish his happy birthday here! He is without a phone for a while since he had to turn his AirForce one in. :)
